OVERVIEW
A new field service management tool needed for the mobile app so that technicians in the field could see a visual of their schedules. This project is a functionality needed as a precursor to several mobile app features in the queue.

Technicians in the field who use our products need to communicate with the admin of the business. Technicians are scheduled work orders through the web application and needed a better way to view which jobs were assigned to them. Previously it was a list view with poor hierarchical prioritization. The biggest challenge for me as a designer was having limited dev resources and needing to pare back the design to offer a bare minimum MVP.

With the introduction of multi-day work orders, we needed to build a calendar that would allow the technician to see the visits attached to the work order they were assigned.

The "before" screenshot is what technicians used prior to the calendar. The "list view" of upcoming jobs made it difficult to see how jobs line up on a given day or week. If you wanted to scroll into the future, you would have to scroll all the way down to that job. The new calendar (below) allows users to swipe through days, weeks, and drop down the month to select days within months of the year.
